It dethroned the popular messaging app WhatsApp and took over the second position just behind Facebook in the first quarter of the year 2018. This free of cost browser has features like fast browsing, data saving and ad blocker as most used features, among its other features. It captured the third position in the list of total downloads in the year 2017.
Owned and managed by Facebook it grabbed the third spot in the list of most downloaded apps in India in the first quarter of 2018. It lost its second position to UC Browser.
Facebook Messenger
This is a standalone instant messaging app from Facebook. It retained its position when it comes to the list of most downloaded apps in India. Similar to last year, it came on the 4th spot. This app not only lets you chat, but also let you make audio and video calls.
Shareit App
This app enables users to do file transfer between different devices all with an ease. But compared to last year, it has lost its position in the list of most downloaded app in India. This app came sixth in the first quarter of the year 2018, down from fifth position last year.
JioTV
This apps’ popularity was a surprise for all. The app was in the last position last year but climbed to sixth position in the list of most downloaded apps. It comes with MyJio app Suite that enables users to stream Live TV, serials and matches all with ease.
