The coronavirus epidemic has not only affected the social lives of the people but it has made an impact on social networking sites and Apps.  And the lockdown has bought more people to online life and it has created congestion in the network because there is a steep rise in the number of users. After YouTube, Netflix and many other ha imposed limitations such as low resolutions. Now the WhatsApp is also in this queue, it has done something to its ‘status’ section. Now, WhatsApp does not allow the users to post videos longer than 15 seconds as their status.

This change was first seen on WABetaInfo. And now when you will try to upload a video that is longer than 15 secs, it will show a message that ‘video will be trimmed to the first 15 seconds’ before it allows 30 seconds of videos to publish on the status.

But, the message is a little bit confusing, it does not restrict you to trim first 15 seconds of video, instead, you can choose and specify any 15-second section from that video whichever you like, all you have to do is slide the bar which will appear on the timeline and select the starting and end point and viola!  it’s done.  Your 15-second video will be on your WhatsApp status.

Till now this change has only seen in India.
