The Galaxy Z Fold 5 promises a smooth and long-lasting user experience thanks to its large 4400mAh battery. The device also supports proprietary wired fast charging up to 25 watts and wireless charging up to 15 watts, allowing users to quickly recharge their batteries when needed.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 does not disappoint photography enthusiasts. Its rear camera setup is a triple-camera setup with a remarkable 50-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera, a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) camera, and an autofocus 10-megapixel (f/2.4) camera. The device has a dual-camera setup for selfies on the front, with a 10-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a second 4-megapixel camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a pixel size of 2.0 micron.

In terms of features, you get 4K@60fps and 8K video recording, 3x optical zoom with up to 30x digital zoom, AI-based object detection, and the ability to capture 50MP photos.

In terms of connectivity, the Fold 5 only supports the newer Bluetooth 5.3 standard and faster 5G speeds. Everything else is the same as the Fold 4: Wi-Fi 6E, dual-SIM connectivity with one eSIM support, USB Type-C 3.2, and NFC.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 retains the same design language as the previous Flip phones from Samsung. The phone has the same IPX8 water-resistance rating as last year, so there’s nothing new here.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 ships with the Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1. This slightly updated version of Samsung’s skin includes numerous foldable-specific enhancements. One UI 5.1.1 should be available in the coming weeks for its other premium Galaxy devices. All of the new cover display enhancements are part of the latest One UI release, which also includes improvements to Flex Window, Flex Mode, and Flex Cam.

The most significant improvement is to the cover display, which Samsung has renamed Flex Window. It dominates the front and measures 3.4 inches diagonally, which is a 3.78x increase over the Flip 4.
